What is this?
ANNUAL MEMBER PICNIC! Brief business meeting & special guest speakers: Senator Mark Baisley, Colorado District 4 and Representative Julie McCluskie, Colorado District 13. Please bring your own tableware and preferred drinks (wine and beer okay). Dinner provided. If attending, an RSVP to Cathie Correy, correygrupo@gmail.com by Aug. 23rd would be helpful. Members are welcome to bring a guest but let us know. We want to have enough food. Proposed Bylaw 2023: During a brief business meeting you will vote on changes to the by-laws—links to Bylaws August 2023 and By-Laws 5-23-2020 Please read and let Marjie know if you have any questions or concerns before the meeting. There are three fundamental changes: 1.The Leadership Team terms will be 2 years, and the person may only serve a total of three terms or 6 years before taking at least one year off. Currently terms are one year and unlimited. Terms will be rotated to get new people on the team. 2.The Leadership Team will be made up of 5 to 12 members, including the Treasurer. Currently, the bylaws state 5-10 members, and the treasurer may or may not be a member of the Leadership Team at the discretion of the Leadership Team. 3.The committees and their duties are clarified in the proposed by-laws. League members and guests. All are welcome.
