LWV Chaffee County the League of Women Voters of Chaffee County will host a program on Reproductive Freedom on Monday, March 11, from 12-1 pm at the Poncha Springs Town Hall at 330 Burnett Ave. The primary presenter is a 39-year veteran ob/gyn family nurse practioner who has dealt with hundreds of pregnant women and terminations. There is a lot of misinformation out there, so come learn about the history, statistics, techniques, medical issues, HIPAA laws, and the proposed Ballot Initiative 89 which would put access to abortion without insurance discrimination into the Colorado Constitution. PLEASE submit questions before March 6th to info@lwvchaffeecounty.org. Cards will be available at the event to submit written questions. Due to time constraints, questions will NOT be taken from the audience. The presentation will be filmed and available on the website at lwvchaffeecounty.org. The public is invited.
